Eubank Jr & Benn exchange trash talk during kick-off press conference

Via Craig Daly: Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn attended a thoroughly entertaining kick-off press conference on Friday to promote the exciting October 8 match on DAZN PPV at the O2 Arena in London.
Benn (21-0.14 KOs), who is going up from 147 to face former IBO super-middleweight champion Eubank Jr (32-2.23 KOs) in the 157 lb weight class, has the Chris label as play a weak role by saying that he would be at a weight disadvantage.

Eubank Jr will not only need to drop to 157 for the fight to avoid a fine, but also a rehydration terms.
That could have been an even bigger factor in Eubank Jr’s burnout, as he’ll need to limit fluids after weighing to avoid being overweight at the second weigh-in on the morning of the competition.
What many boxing fans don’t know is the absolute limit weight for the weighing object is 158.5. So, if Eubank Jr hits 159 lbs, for example, the fight is over, according to trainer Tony Simms.
Chris Eubank Jr: “You have the ball, kid. You have some big old balls. “
Conor Benn: “You’ll find out, man. Do not worry about that. You’ll find out.”
Eubank: “Perhaps I will.”
Benn: “You’re playing a weaker hand. Oh yeah, they’re challenging me. “
Eubank Jr: “I don’t think I’m the bad guy.”
Benn: “That’s the card you’re trying to play.”
Eubank Jr: “No, I don’t. You can’t beat me”.
Benn: “Mentioning weight loss is a disadvantage. We told you you can wait. Why do you say this is a disadvantage? Certainly going up two turns is a disadvantage.”
Eubank Jr: “We both had our pros and cons leading up to this fight.”
Benn: “Fair, but you’re playing the lower hand.”
Eubank Jr: “Conor, you can’t beat me.”
Benn: “I would say the same thing about you. You don’t see this as 50-50 as a problem with your ego. “

Eubank Jr: “It’s not.”
Benn: “Of course. You take me lightly will be your problem. “
Eubank Jr: “Yes, I am taking you lightly. I can’t do anything but take you lightly. I downvote you because I know what I am. I don’t see the pedigree and level that people are giving you. I do not see it. Maybe I’m wrong.”
Benn: “Perhaps people don’t see that in you. Illusion.”
Eubank Jr: “I’ve been called delusional throughout my career.”
Benn: “Me too, man.”
Eubank Jr: “So we’re both delusional, and I guess we’ll find out who’s the most delusional in a few months, that’s the fascinating thing about it.”
Benn: “Fine. We’ll see, won’t we? “
