On Wednesday (October 16), Safaree Samuels tried to clear the “deadbeat dad” accusations of his children’s mother, Erica Mena. He Homecoming footage is shared about past incidents with his ex-wife, and she quickly clapped back with harsh words. Less than 24 hours later, Erica Mena released a video about her daughter Safire accused her father of abusing her brother and their son, Legend.
Erica Mena & Safaree’s Daughter says he did this
In a video Erica Mena shared, their daughter was talking from her car seat to her mother, who asked: “What did you do, Dad?” Safire replied “Dad kicked it, my brother had two legs and threw it away.”
Mena continued the child’s story by asking, “When is this?” and Safire replied, “At my dad’s house.” Safire went on to explain that she allegedly saw “dad” kick her brother, who then fell out of an unknown location. Erica also asked Safire to explain why Safaree Samuels dumped Legend. The kid said it was because her brother got the “boo.” Additionally, Safire said her father told her that he was not Legend’s father.
In the caption of the now-deleted post, Erica explained the clip and promised her supporters that she would explain the home video and the allegations SAfaree made in his YouTube post .
“I forgave him for so long! His violation of BS he has been doing for 3 years,” she wrote. Adding, “Just showing my reaction to your actions but not stating who you are behind closed doors is textbook narcissistic behavior at best. Let Safire come clean about the things you did and said to her younger brother, saying that Legend is not your son, that’s probably why you thought of mistreating him in your house since he still a baby with no one around. How could you forget all these parts?”
Safaree Samuels has yet to react online to the abuse allegations that Erica Mena leveled against their daughter.
What’s going on with Erica & Safaree?
As previously reported, Erica Mena filed for divorce from Safaree Samuels in May 2021 after two years of marriage. During their relationship, they welcomed Safire and Legend. Mena filed to end their marriage in May 2021 and it took more than a year for them to finalize terms in September 2022.
During that process and even afterward, the two had tensions on reality TV and social media. Mena has exploded before Safaree’s reportedly uncertain commitment to fatherhood. Most recently, Mena seems to have shaded him after he attended Nicki Minaj (his ex-girlfriend) and praised her performance and his time in Gag City on social media.
However, this week she call him out for trying to reduce his child support payments. He previously agreed to pay $4,305 in monthly child support for both children but is seeking a reduction due to “significant loss of income.” Additionally, in the paperwork, Samuels said that Mena’s public criticism of him for six consecutive months affected his business dealings. She was also accused of influencing his career through “harassment [Safaree’s] potential co-stars and colleagues over multiple phone calls” with “false statements.”
Erica’s answer was to produce a calendar that showed all the days Safaree spent time with their children this year, a total of 16 times.
Then, as mentioned, Safaree Samuels published her version of the truth on YouTube. Safaree shared home footage showing Erica Mena blocking him from leaving the house and pushing him multiple times while their daughter and son watched nearby. Additionally, he shared a video of Erica using a ladder to jump over a closed fence and hit his door.
He also detailed his efforts to get a restraining order against her and denied the allegations about her deadbeat father. Mena didn’t just let her video slide. She responded with several paragraphs accusing him of not telling the whole story, including his efforts to get her.
