Equitrans hopes to stop gas leak in Pennsylvania within days (NYSE: ETRN)

Equitrans Midstream (NYSE:ETRN) said Thursday it hopes to stop a leak at the Rager Mountain gas storage facility in Pennsylvania’s Cambria County during “next few days.”
transmission media (ETRN) estimate the size of leak, which began November 6 in one of the facility’s 10 storage wells, at ~100M cf/d.
The company said it was making progress in fixing the leak, but gas continued to escape between the two well casings.
By comparison, the leak at Southern California Gas’s Aliso Canyon gas storage facility in California, often considered the largest gas leak in U.S. history, released ~4.6 billion cf of gas. , or methane, for four months in 2015-16.
