Enjoy Mango Flavors In A Brand New Avatar At Spice Route, Delhi

Let’s admit it; Summer wouldn’t be complete without a piece of our favorite fruit – Mango. Mangoes are reminiscent of our happy childhoods- with us nibbling on one bite after another, and the sticky mango juice running down our elbows and across our lips. Just one bite is enough to evoke the sweet memories associated with this bright yellow fruit. If you’re a mango lover like we are, you’ll enjoy a meal at The Spice Route in The Imperial, New Delhi. Chef Veena Arora has created a special menu called ‘Mumma’s Mango Collection’ and it evokes nostalgia by presenting the taste of mango a brand new avatar you never had. understandable.

One of the city’s most unique restaurants in terms of decor, The Spice Route exudes immense peace and spiritual healing. The walls are hand-painted with natural dyes, like the interiors of ancient Indian temples. The restaurant is designed to reflect the journey of spices from the Malabar coast in Kerala to countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. Therefore, the special Mango menu at Spice Route also features curries and recipes from these regions.

We started our meal with Yum Mamuang from the Appetizers section of the menu. Similar to Som Tam, this is also a typical Thai salad with grated raw mango, spicy sauce and crispy roasted peanuts. Mango lovers will really enjoy Pacha Mangai Rasam, Kerala-style broth made of lentils and fresh mango. The idea of eating mangoes as a soup proved to be an innovation. We really love this light and refreshing broth garnished with fresh mango pieces that look like croissants.

The main course of the Mango menu has a wide range of choices from many different countries. The Curry Allepey Mangai It is wonderful and pleasant with the delicious taste of coconut milk and fresh vegetables. The Ga Xao Hot Dieu This is another surprising preparation that we love – Vietnamese fried with ripe mango and cashews with a variety of Umami flavors.

The Pacha Mangai Katrikai Curry is the ultimate program stealer. The aromatic flavor of raw mango pairs perfectly with the Kerala-style baby eggplant garnished with curry leaves. We pair our curries with the chef-special Jasmine Rice with ripe mangoes cooked in coconut milk, as well as some soft Parottas Malabari.
