Alice Capsey and Freya Kemp have been rewarded for their good T20 form having been called up to the England Women’s ODI squad for the upcoming series against India.
Capsey, 18, and Kemp, 17, have integrated into international cricket seamlessly, as both teenagers have both starred in the T20 series against a talented side of India.
The almighty Capsey was the match and series winner on Thursday night while Kemp made history as the youngest England player, male or female, to score an international T20 goal in the second half. century in the second match.
Both have been included in the 15-player roster for the three-match ODI series, which begins next Tuesday.
The matches will be England’s first in a new ICC Women’s Football Championship cycle, with points leading to a place in the World Cup in 2025.
Amy Jones will continue to lead the side in the absence of Heather Knight and Nat Sciver.
