Lisa Riley shared a heartfelt tribute to her beloved mother Cath on the 10th anniversary of her death.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Emmerdale actress, 46, shared a snap of her mother next to two candles, with the star commenting that ‘the pain is still as raw as it was back then.’
Lisa, whose mother passed away from cancer at the age of 57, also shared with fans how she copes with her grief, saying she is ‘extremely lucky’ to have loved ones her love to rely on for support during her most difficult times.

‘My Al, my family, my best friends, my work family and work colleagues. You keep me up, on days when I’m down and really emotional, you make me laugh, because you know that’s how I handle things best. ..
‘For this today PLEASE accept my deepest gratitude. Hope anyone else is feeling really sad today, reading this and finding someone close they can talk to, like talking and expressing your inner feelings, will help. It really does, and I say this with truth and honesty. ‘

On Saturday, the soap star took to her Instagram once again to thank fans for their love and support amid her statement of grief over her mother.
Next to a picture of a sign saying ‘thank you’, Lisa wrote: ‘THANK YOU THANK YOU. so much for the huge amount of support you all sent me yesterday.
‘Messages that speak of love and truth… I want you all to know how it has helped, especially given the identical number of people suffering, so it proves when you are suffering, it’s good to share. Thank you again.’
Earlier this year, Lisa shared her grief for Cath, as she revealed she had put all wedding plans on hold as the day ‘wouldn’t be special’ following her mother’s death on year 2012.
