Ellie Goulding’s promotional post for catered drinks banned after claiming the drinks were low in sugar and calories

Ellie Goulding She is one of the famous singers of her time and has released many popular songs to this day. With a lot of talent and a following, Ellie Goulding launched a brand called Alcoholic Served Drinks. The brand itself has grown in popularity but recent controversies have put the brand in real doubt.

The 35-year-old pop star posted an ad for the brand containing alcoholic beverages in February, but the ad has since been taken down. The ads were removed after multiple complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.

The ASA issued a statement that the ads were only banned after claims of low sugar and low calories were made on them, but not for alcoholic beverages. Ellie herself promoted the brand with photos of herself enjoying a fizzy drink with the caption, “If you’re like me, you love drinks but also enjoy an active lifestyle. My delicious alcoholic drink is the best of both worlds.”

Another post made by Ellie claims that the product has only 57 calories and 4% alcohol. In a separate email, Served Drinks also stated, “Forget about the dry January… Has the dry January become a bit dry? There’s no reason you can’t enjoy a drink without making it dry. Our drink has only 57 calories, 0g sugar, and is 4% ABV and is the perfect choice for a clear head feeling without the guilt.”

There have been a total of 21 complaints to the ASA that the nutritional value stated on the beverage is not permitted for alcoholic beverages. The complaints also say that Ellie’s claim to live a healthy life while drinking something containing alcohol is not allowed for alcoholic beverages. Other claims say the ad claims that drinking can be indispensable and that drinking it can help overcome boredom.

The Served Beverage brand said it understands that brands are allowed to provide factual information about the nutritional content of their products. They also said that the ads posted were intended to depict her lifestyle and not a statement about general health.

Served Drinks has taken responsibility for its actions and stated that they will be concerned with how their products are advertised in the future.
