“I think if I had any desire, to be honest, it would be less of the kind of lecture in an episode about certain things,” Pompeo began.
‘It’s like, we do an episode about, let’s see… Asian Hate Crime is an episode we did last season that was really emotional. I think I’d like to see things play out a little more subtly and over time,’ she added.
Instead of just having a focus on a certain topic, she wants the show to ‘touch these important social issues and let them be cross-cutting’ as opposed to ‘consistently. [hitting] you only for an hour’ and never talk about it again.

The series tells the strange true story of a Ukrainian orphan named Natalia Grace, who was adopted by American parents.
They eventually learn that Natalia suffers from a rare form of dwarfism and claim she is actually a mentally disturbed adult who threatens their lives.
The parents – Kristine Barnett and Michael Barnett – were accused of neglect in 2019 when they abandoned their daughter.
Most of the charges against her parents were dropped, and Grace repeatedly denied claims she was an adult fraudster.
