It comes after a new trailer for the fifth season of Handmaid’s Tale was dropped, and it looks like it’s been a busy one for Elisabeth’s June Osbourne character.
Elisabeth confronts 40-year-old Yvonne Strahovski (playing Serena) after killing her husband, Commander Frederick R. Waterford (played by Joseph Fiennes, 52) at the end of season four.
The widowed and pregnant Serena has put on her grief to raise her public profile in Toronto all this while. Gilead’s influence slowly spread to Canada, as June continued her battle against the authoritarian patriarchal theocracy.

The trailer – just over two minutes long – begins with June thinking back to Commander Waterford as she justifies why he had to die.
‘He’s a monster. Gilead’s father. He took our country away. He paid for what he did,’ she said as flashbacks of Fred’s death flashed across the screen.
June is later seen sitting with teammate Luke (OT Fagbenle) when she tells him ominously, ‘I killed him, and I love it so much.’
Serena was later seen entering the building where Fred’s body lay beneath a white sheet, when tears welled up in her eyes.
The scene then jumps to Moira (Samira Wiley) shouting at Luke as she says, ‘June tore him apart!’
