California-based start-up Alpha Motors introduced the electric Ace Coupe and Jax CUV, followed by the Wolf. The Wolf will do 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds with a battery between 75-85 kWh and has a single-motor RWD or a dual-motor RWD. It will be about four inches taller than the Canoo and help strengthen the more affordable segment of the electric truck market. Production begins in the fourth quarter of 2023 with the earliest deliveries after that.

The B2 twin engine delivers 614 hp, 688 lb.-ft. torque, and can transport 7,500 lbs. with 5,000 lbs. tonnage on its cargo bed. The B2 can transport 16-foot cargo entirely on its bed via its patented forwarding system to the cabin. It features regenerative braking, DC fast charging, and a recharge time of about 10 hours on a 220V charger. B2 will be available in 2022 after a delayed launch. Bollinger also plans to build 3rd, 4th and 5th class trucks.

One of the hottest and most exciting electric trucks on the horizon is the Canoo. The startup is betting on versatility versus strength to drive sales of its flagship electric truck, as the pickup is expected to be a bit smaller than many of its run-of-the-mill brethren. its electric, about 15 feet long, 6.5 feet wide and 6.29 feet tall with a wheelbase of 112.2 inches (for comparison, the 2021 Ford Ranger is almost 3 feet longer). As the most famous electric truck (and one of the earliest) to hit the public, Tesla’s Cybertruck is ready to launch in three models: a three-engine, AWD version; a dual-engine AWD version; and a single engine, base RWD version. The three-engine version boasts a range of over 500 miles and 14,000 lb. towing with 0-60 mph in less than 3.0 seconds. Each model comes with a 250 kW charging cable for use at Tesla’s extensive network of chargers. The Cybertruck can seat six in its spartan interior and the cargo bed has a volume of 100 cubic feet. A built-in slide ramp makes loading and unloading motorcycles and ATVs easy, and the truck’s 16-inch adjustable ground clearance means the Cybertruck is ready to go off-road. Originally scheduled for a 2021 launch, production of the Cybertruck begins right here in Austin, TX with beta trucks slated to begin testing later this year. Hopefully they better test the “armor window” that repels rocks.
