Eddie Hearn Reacts to Ryan Garcia May Link With Reynoso

Via Sam Volz: Eddie Hearn thinks it would be very positive if Ryan Garcia teamed up with his former coach Eddy Reynoso to try to pick up the pieces after the loss to Gervonta Davis.

Ryan fired coach Joe Goosen after that loss without explaining to the fans. Prior to a fight with Goosenf or three fights, Ryan (23-1, 19 KOs) briefly worked with Reynoso but left him after his fight with Luke Campbell in 2021.

Hearn says that if Ryan is going to reconnect with Reynoso, he needs to listen to him and follow his instructions rather than follow his own.

Ryan will get a lot of attention from the media and the boxing public if he joins Reynoso’s camp as he also coaches Canelo Alvarez which means there will always be a lot of media around around.

“A great boxing match. Everyone did a great job continuing that fight,” Eddie Hearn said little giant boxing about Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis.

“It was a good win for Tank. Come to think of it, we should have seen that happen. It was a good performance. He is an excellent warrior. Because he’s on par with Ryan Garcia,” Hearn said when asked why Tank Davis won.

“Ryan has never fought at this level before. I don’t think he’s strong enough to take that punishment in a fight, and you’ve seen that. I do not know. I listened to 800, 900, 1.2. Great. It shows that it works when you get it right,” Hearn said when asked about the Tank vs. Ryan brings in 1.2 million reported PPV purchases.

“For me, Eddy Reynoso is probably the best coach in the world,” Hearn reacted when told Ryan Garcia had contacted his former coach Eddy Reynoso about working with him once. more to replace fired coach Joe Goosen.

“If you’re going to be with Eddy Reynoso, you have to listen and do what you’re told, and I’m just commenting as an outsider, as a fan. I feel like sometimes Ryan does things his way – cushions with his brother and stuff like that.

“If you were with Eddy, you would give him everything. You do as you are told. He is your teacher. Not, ‘I’ll see you on Thursday or Monday.’ No no. Every day, 100%. Like Cesar Martinez, the same thing, and Eddy’s no joke. If you don’t give him that pledge, you’ll be disqualified, and why don’t you give him that? He is a good coach. I think that would be a great link,” Hearn said.
