Eddie Hearn Katie Taylor’s Next Fight Shortlist

Katie Taylor may not yet have a return date, but her promoter has put together a list of potential competitors.
The Bray woman has been out of the ring since earlier this year when, at Madison Square Garden in New York, she pass Amanda Serrano of Puerto Rico to defend her WBA Super, IBF, WBO, IBO lightweight crown.
All the talk then is that Taylor, the five-time world amateur and six-time European champion, will once again meet Serrano in a rematch in Dublin at Croke Park in September.
But New York-based Serrano voted against an immediate return and instead chose to fight at Madison Square Garden again on August 6, as part of the supporting cast to promote Jake Paul’s return against Hasim Rahman Jr.
Eddie Hearn, promoter of Katie Taylor, originally listed MMA stars Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm is a priority for ‘KT’ next enemy, likely in October, streaming only on DAZN.
However, Hearn – who also promotes Belfast’s Caoimhin Agyarko – spoke to Betfred’s Lightweight Boxing Show and proposed a rematch with Jessica McCaskill, who has been the undisputed welterweight champion since losing to the former two-time Olympian in 2017.
“Everyone is talking about maybe a cross fight with Holly Holm or [Cris] Robot. “
“There are other fighters, world champions too. [Hyun-Mi] Choi, who is relegated to featherweight super, could be an option. I’m disappointed we can’t rematch Serrano, but she wants another fight before considering that. “
Choi, who has a record of 19-0-1 with 5 quick knockouts, currently holds the WBA women’s 130-pound belt and has a defense scheduled for August 15 in Seoul against Aka Ringo with score 3-0.
Chantelle Cameron, the WBC and IBF champion at 140 pounds, who also has a Ring Magazine strap and whose design became undisputed when met with IBO, WBO and WBA champion Kali Reis, was also commented on.
Hearn continued:
“And then you have all the other undisputed things about to be indisputable, Chantelle Cameron, Jessica McCaskill.”
“They can really fight each other, it’s going to be an absolute fight because they come forward or not.”
“But, you know, I believe Chantelle Cameron and Jessica McCaskill are also potential rivals for Katie Taylor.”
