Easy Rosemary Hair Growth Spray

I talked a little bit about Postpartum hair problems in this post, but one way I’ve combated my thinner hair is by spritzing my hair with rosemary essential oil.

Rosemary essential oil helps your hair grow faster and can even lead to thicker/fuller hair, so it’s been a great way for me to support my thinner hair (and help my hard-to-grow areas) faster).

This study showed that rosemary essential oil works as a top hair growth drug without some of the side effects that the drug causes for users. I think it’s a great finding to be able to use a more natural route (with even better results) than drugs.

Anyway, here’s the easy recipe for rosemary hairspray that I applied in case you want to try it out for yourself!

Munition:
-10 drops rosemary essential oil
-1/2 teaspoon Solubol or carrier oil
-4 ounces of distilled water
4 ounce spray bottle (amber bottles like these will keep the oils longer)
mini funnel (optional but useful)

Add 10 drops of rosemary essential oil to 1/2 teaspoon and pour in Solubol or a carrier oil over the remainder of the teaspoon.

Pour oil into the bottle and fill the rest of the bottle with water.

Shake the bottle and spray directly onto the roots, then gently massage with your fingers. It makes my hair look a bit frizzy when dry (which makes it look wet even when dry), so I tend to do it before bed and then fix it up the next day.

Spray into hair once a day. It’s true that it’s a bit difficult to say for sure how effective this will be unless you’re only doing it with the first half and comparing it with the first half that you don’t, but I will say I’ve always had a hard time growing my hair. Me and I definitely noticed it growing faster than usual.

How long will it take to see results?

This study says the results are much more visible six months after starting treatment than three months later, so I would stick with it for a bit before giving up if you don’t see an immediate difference.

And with any essential oil formulation, discontinue use if you notice any adverse reactions.

Hope this simple recipe helps your hair look its best! so so. Laura
