He died offscreen after Ronnie Mitchell arranged for her nemesis Vincent Hubbard to be sent to the car crusher, but Fatboy was accidentally trapped in the trunk and killed instead.
Some dedicated EastEnders fans have long believed the character could return to the soap opera, as his body was never seen on screen.
And rumors are now swirling that his ‘return’ is imminent after actor Ricky was seemingly spotted at Elstree Studios.
However, EastEnders has denied that Fatboy will return to the BBC programme.

One TikTok user – who runs an EastEnders fan account – shared a live video showing Ricky walking on set and greeting eager fans.
An excited female fan can be heard saying his apparent visit to the set was ‘random’, before speculating that she spoiled his surprise ‘return’.
She could be heard saying: ‘What a coincidence! However we are not allowed to post that right? S**t! ‘
In the video, a group of fans also speculated that he might be back in the Dot Cotton funeral episode, following the death of actress June Brown earlier this year.

Ricky was suspended from EastEnders in 2014 after a video leaked of the star allegedly smoking marijuana and performing sexual acts on Skype.
BBC bosses decided to suspend Ricky’s filming for two months when images of him first came to light, while the actor apologized for his actions.
Ricky starred in the online spin-off show E20 before finding fame on the series.
After leaving the soap, Ricky revealed he was depressed and addressed his struggles on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

Revealed that he didn’t know he was depressed at the time, but he confessed that his anxiety was so high that he didn’t want to leave the house.
“I fell into a deep depression,” he explains. ‘I didn’t know it was depression. I don’t want to leave the house, I have drawn the curtains. ‘
He added that although he left the soap after the scandal, he is satisfied with the work he has achieved and what may come in the future.
‘I was happy. I should have been there for three months, I was there for less than six years,’ he said.
