Eagles GM: ‘Without a doubt’ Jalen Hurts will start next season’s QB

When Howie Roseman was asked on Wednesday if Jalen Hurts will be the Eagles’ starting quartet next season, the Philadelphia GM has left no room for mystery or doubt.

“There’s no doubt about it,” Roseman said at the combined NFL in Indianapolis, via ESPN. “We have Jalen Hurts, a 23-year-old midfielder who has led his team to the knockout stages, and he’s just going to get better and better. He’s going to do everything he can to be that way. better, and we have to do join [helping] that.”

This isn’t the first time in the pre-season that Roseman has played against Hurts, who led the Eagles to the NFC Wild Card round in his first season as a starter. The 23-year-old signal caller also led all QBs in dashes (784) and hasty grounding (10).

Speculation about the Hurts’ starting status came almost immediately after Philadelphia was knocked out of the knockout stages, partly because they had three first picks in the upcoming draft but also because the Eagles were rumored will participate in the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

Though Roseman struck down Watson’s speculation as quickly as he defended Hurts.
