E3 2023 Canceled – GameSpot

E3 did not take place, an official statement from ESA and ReedPop confirmed. The event was scheduled to take place from June 13 to 16 in Los Angeles.
“This has been a difficult decision because of all the efforts that we and our partners have put in to make this event happen, but we have to do what’s right for the industry and what’s right for us. fit E3,” said Kyle Marsden-Kish of ReedPop in a statement shared with GameSpot. “We appreciate and understand that interested companies will not have playable demos available and resource challenges have made being present at E3 this summer an obstacle they cannot afford. To those who have committed to E3 2023, we apologize for not being able to showcase what you deserve and what you expect from the ReedPop event experience.”
The information was first leaked via email sent by ESA to its members and collected by IGN. The announcement said E3 “simply failed to garner the long-term interest needed to do it in a way that demonstrates the size, strength, and impact of our industry”.
