Dustyn Stortzum, a native of Nebraska, has been appointed as the new racetrack announcer to begin the 2023 Purebred racing season at Fonner Park. Stortzum replaces Grand Island native Steve Anderson, who called for races for 19 years at Fonner Park but passed away in 2022 after a battle with cancer.
“I want to thank my mentors, parents, and older sister for supporting me through all the ups and downs of my early broadcasting career,” says Stortzum. “Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
