HSRP is a Chromium-based hologram that comes with laser-branded permanent ID numbers that cannot be tampered with. This ensures that license plates cannot be copied and reused or repurposed. The process includes HSRP hot stamping on the front as well as the back.

Yadav added that the campaign to fine traffic for vehicles without HSRP will start from Friday. “The challan amount in such cases would be $5,000. Therefore, I ask everyone to please register for HSRP if you haven’t already and install it immediately to your media,” he added.

The operation to crack down on HSRP-free vehicles comes days after Anupam Kulshreshtha, Director of Traffic and Road Safety Uttar Pradesh, wrote to the police chiefs of all districts in Uttar Pradesh to initiate action. violators. According to him, failure to install HSRP on vehicles is a violation of the Motor Vehicles Act.
