It’s almost unthinkable golden empire warriors no Draymond Green. But could that be a possibility if they didn’t knead some dough?

Green has one year left on his current contract. A maximum extension would lock him in for five years at $164.2 million.
How do Green’s teammates feel about him wanting a maximum extension? According to The Athletic, Steph Curry is a big supporter of his longtime teammate making every penny. NBA Finals MVP, it’s no surprise considering himself, Green, and Klay Thompson a “package deal” and expecting the Warriors to pay them the same.
While Golden State won the 2022 championship with the highest paycheck in the league, they may not be eager to spend money on Green. Green is one of four key players on the championship team that is about to receive a contract extension and the Warriors are facing huge luxury taxes over the next few years.
