With Dedrick Williams, one of four men accused in connection with the 2018 murder of XXXTentacion, about to go to trial, his attorney is calling on several big-name stars to come forward.

Follow Miami emissary, Dedrick’s defense attorney—Mauricio Padilla—submitted a list of potential witnesses on Wednesday. Notably, many “international celebrities” joined the movement.
Specifically, the list has named stars who had conflicts with the late rapper. This includes celebrities like drake, 6ix9ine, Joe Budden, Offset and Quavo. XXXTentacion’s other competitors such as 600 Breezy and Top5, along with collaborators like Ski Mask the Slump God and Tankhead666, are also named.
The outlet notes that, by listing artists who have a feud with X, the defense may be trying to create suspicion that Williams is involved in the crime.
We should add that there is no physical evidence of any of the aforementioned celebrities being present at the scene of XXXTentacion’s death. Additionally, although rappers may be called to testify, they are reportedly able to oppose the petition due to a lack of evidence.
The prosecutor wasn’t too happy about the motion
Responding to the list of potential witnesses, prosecutor Pascale Achille criticized it as “an intentional, belated disclosure,” as the trial is set for January 9.
“It is clear from the delayed, deliberate disclosure of the defendant’s witnesses and the remarks made between the parties that [the] the defendant intended to ‘surprise’ the state and create an ambush trial.”
However, the defense denied this and shared that, although the situation may not be easy, it can still be accomplished.
“They are celebrities. And it’s not easy for me to get a subpoena. I don’t have the number, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be able to.
Ultimately, the judge gave Padilla until Monday to submit her final list, along with contact information for potential witnesses.
However, Jim Lewis, the attorney representing co-defendant Robert Allen, told the court. Miami emissary that he thinks the effort is futile.
“From what I see in this case, it seems to be an opportunistic crime. Nothing to indicate this is a professional hit.
