This weekend, the IndyCar series kicks off May with an event at Barber Motorsports Park. That means it’s time to get Jalopnik IndyCar Fantasy League Picks Sent!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why do you have to pick so early, before any cars hit the track? Well, the IndyCar Fantasy League website ran into some hiccups during its first race of the weekend in St.Petersburg; a large number of people just before the race saw the Virtual server fail, meaning a lot of people didn’t exercise their choice.
I recommend making some selections now, as you can always change them later. That way you’ve at least secured some points if all hell lost points again on Sunday. I doubt it will – but again, it’s better to be safe.
(And as a reminder, we are discounting the results of that first race when awarding the prize – although if the results of St. Your Pete can get you to the top that you wouldn’t otherwise, we’ll make sure you’re compensated.)
Jalopnik Tournament Hosted on IndyCar’s Overall fantasy site. Basically, you make a set of personal selections on your homepage, and those selections instantly transfer to any tournament you enter. No, you can’t make selections for different tournaments – one of the downsides of the service – but you can also join as many tournaments as you can.

Barber is a longtime favorite track for many IndyCar fans, putting on excellent racing in a gorgeous countryside environment. And so far this year, it’s been a pretty Penske-dominated show. Will Josef Newgarden take another victory? Will Romain Grosjean or Scott McLaughlin take his first IndyCar win? It’s a solid track for all of those drivers, so only time will tell.
