Donkervoort finally brings its wild race cars to the USA
Donkervoort has been operating since 1978 but has only penetrated the US market until now.
The Dutch company has contracted with the Bespoke Import Group as their distributor on these coasts and has confirmed Personal Series D8 GTO is the first locally available model.
It starts at $240,000 and the first one will be on the market shortly at Naples Motorsports in Naples, Florida. Two additional examples will be available at locations in Colorado and California to be announced at a later date.

The D8 GTO was announced last September as the final road version of the D8 GTO series. It packs the familiar 2.5-liter inline-5 turbocharger designed by Audi, one that makes more than 400 horsepower and has 1,500 pounds less thrust when installed in the D8 GTO.
The result is a 0-62 mph acceleration in 2.7 seconds. To achieve double that speed takes only 7.7 seconds. Donkervoorts are also famous for their horizontal acceleration. We’re talking 2 g, which gives outstanding cornering ability.
According to Denis Donkervoort, CEO of Donkervoort and son of the company’s founder Joop Donkervoort, requests from the US for Donkervoort products are second only to Europe, although these cars have never been Now on sale here.

“American supercar enthusiasts can’t wait for the Donkervoort cars to arrive, and there’s been a surprisingly large amount of interest in America,” he said.
Don’t expect to suddenly see one Donkervoort per block. During its existence, the company produced only about 1,500 cars and had no plans for rapid expansion.
“We are starting small, but Donkervoort has huge plans for the US, and hypercar technology at the price of a supercar is the perfect recipe for success here,” said Donkervoort.
