New York grand jury voted to indict former President Donald Trump after a grand jury investigation into the alleged payments he made to the adult entertainer Storm Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged relationship on Thursday, March 30.
Each CNN, several sources “close” to the case confirmed that the grand jury in Manhattan voted to indict the 76-year-old former president. Details are not available as of Thursday afternoon, though LA time also confirmed the news. It marks the first time in US history that a president – current or former – will face criminal charges.
The vote comes days after Trump announced that he expected to be arrested on him Social Truth background with all capital letters. “The leading Republican candidate and former President of the United States will be arrested next Tuesday,” he wrote, claiming there had been an “illegal leak.”

Trump was arrested as part of an indictment over a $130,000 hush payment to Daniels that prevented her from making public the story of her alleged affair with the then-presidential candidate. during the 2016 election, former Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen paid her after Trump had said he would refund him.
