Former US President Donald Trump and a group of men jailed for their roles in the deadly January 6 riots collaborated on a charity single.

The song, “Justice for All,” which is available on streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, is an effort to raise funds to support the families of Trump supporters who are in prison for their crimes. Allegations related to riots on the US Capitol in 2021 .

In the song, the twice-impeached former president recites the Oath of Allegiance.

His words are interrupted by the national anthem sung by Washington prison inmates, who call themselves the J6 Prison Choir.

The song ends with the prisoners chanting “USA!”.

Trump recorded his part at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, according to Forbes. Inmates recorded their songs on a cell phone in the prison.

The song is listed under “devotion & spirituality” on Apple Music. On YouTube, Trump is credited with composing the song.

The song made a strong impression on critics.

The Justice Department said on Thursday that Donald Trump could be sued by police and others injured during a riot by his supporters at the US Capitol.

In court filings, the department said that while the president has absolute immunity from his official conduct while in office, he can be sued for conduct that clearly is judged to be outside of its official duties.

The riots took place two weeks before he left the White House.
