Dollar stores are inflated just like the pros.
Both Dollar General and Dollar Tree are reported Better sales and profits on Thursday than Wall Street expected. Dollar General’s comparable-store sales were more or less flat in the quarter ended April 29 from a year earlier, better than the 1.2 percent decline analysts polled by Visible Alpha is expected. Dollar Tree’s same-store sales growth of 4.4% beat expectations, largely thanks to its eponymous chain, where consumers are responding well to recommend prices above $1.
