‘Doctor G’ box office collection day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana’s campus drama scores Rs 3.50 crore | Telugu Movie News

Junglee Pictures ”Doctor G” got off to a good start at the box office. Backed by Anubhuti Kashyap, this film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah in the lead roles and recounts the struggles of a male gynecologist. On the first day of launch, ‘Doctor G’ had high occupancy and reached Rs 3.50 crore.

‘Doctor G’ surpasses competitors like Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu starred in ‘Code Name: Tiranga’ and the Hindi dub version of the Kannada film ‘Kantara’, both of which scored very poorly at the box office. ‘Code Name: Tiranga’ crashed with only Rs 15 lakh while ‘Kantara’ Hindi hit Rs 1 crore on the first day.

Speaking of her film choice, Ayushmann recently told BT, “I’ve always believed in cinematic change and that’s what I started with my first film, Vicky Donor, and Since then, I have walked tirelessly on that path. I think a movie is more agreeable to people when it is shown in a way that it has something to say. And yes, you are right that life has come to a full circle. It’s great that I have the opportunity to play a doctor in this drama, and this is the kind of content that appeals to me.”
