DJI Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal comes with 3-axis stabilization, new status panel and side wheel
DJI announced the next version of its smartphone gimbal – Osmo Mobile 6 – with improved design and 3-axis stabilization. It’s very similar to its predecessor with the same foldable design but with wheel controls for easier zooming and focusing, with a status panel showing the gimbal’s battery level.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 There are three powerful motors that, combined with DJI’s algorithms, keep the smartphone steady while recording video. Similar to the OM 5, Osmo Mobile 6 comes with an extension bar, allowing users to try out different recording positions. The handle has been redesigned, and the clip can hold larger phones. It weighs 309g and comes with a 1000mAh battery.
With the new gimbal, DJI has introduced a new feature – Quick start – Because Iphone. Osmo Mobile 6 powers on when unfolded and the moment you take your iPhone, Mimo app, send notification to enter camera view.
The Osmo Mobile 6 uses the new ActiveTrack 5.0, which was recently seen on DJI’s Mavic 3 drone.
The new status panel replaces the LEDs found on older versions. You can check the battery level and system status indicator on the status panel, and even switch between gimbal modes. Pressing the M button allows the user to switch between four modes – Tracking, Tilt Locked, FPV and SpinShot.
The side wheel lets you adjust the focal length, zoom in and out, and you can switch to manual focus by pressing the side wheel once.
DJI’s Osmo Mobile 6 is priced at $159 (about Rs 12,890) and is available for purchase in the US.
