Diwali Traffic Jams: Days Before Diwali, Traffic Nightmare In Delhi, Gurugram
With Diwali just around the corner, people in Delhi are flocking to the markets in large numbers for festive shopping. This has resulted in traffic jams in some areas of the city.
A video of such a massive jam is going viral on social media. The video, shot in north Delhi, shows an ambulance stuck in traffic.

To avoid congestion, Delhi traffic police and Gurugram have created designated parking spots and urged people not to park at any other locations.
The firecracker market in Gurugram’s Gadoli village saw a large number of visitors today. The district’s only wholesale market has a number of shops selling banh xeo. With the sale of firecrackers banned in the national capital, some people from Delhi also frequent the market.
Vehicle mobility has also been affected in parts of central Delhi today due to restrictions imposed on the annual Interpol General Assembly taking place in Pragati Maidan.
Traffic on Ashoka Road, Janpath Road, Firoz Shah Road, Barakhamba Road, Sikandra Road, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Marg, Kamal Ataturk Marg is being regulated, an adviser to the Delhi traffic police said.
