Get your hands on all the ingredients needed to cook everything in Disney’s Dream Valley of Light will definitely take some work. In some cases, these components may even require you to complete some quests around the valley before you can access them. Such is the case with Coconuts–but don’t worry, because we’ll show you how to get plenty of them.
How to get Coconuts in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The first step to get a coconut tree is make friends with MauiThis will require you to travel to the kingdom of Moana and complete a series of objectives to entice him to make a home in your valley.
When Maui moves to your valley, reach a level 2 friendship with him to unlock the first quest “Burying the Eel”. This quest will require you to talk to Goofy and collect a few items for him, including x3 Worms and x8 Softwood. Dig worms in cracks in the ground near the water in the Peaceful Meadow and collect Softwoods near trees basically anywhere in the game.
Take the worms and wood to the crafting station to make an Eel Trap, then head down to the dock on Dazzle Beach to place it in the water. After doing so, fish nearby for eels, which you can then bring back to Maui.
Maui will ask you to plant eels, so dig somewhere in your valley and bury the fish there, then water it several times until it grows into a coconut tree. Once done, you can harvest Coconuts from it, allowing you to both complete Maui’s quest and start cooking dishes that require the fruit. In addition, many coconut trees will grow on the beach for extra harvest.
