The employee can also be seen refilling the bucket before pouring more water over them again.
In a statement, Crump said that staff locked Davis and her niece inside the restaurant as they tried to resolve an issue with their order, worth about $30, after the couple complained that they got the wrong item three times.

The argument started at the driver’s window, but Davis and her niece got inside after receiving the wrong order. That’s when they claimed an employee challenged the teenager to a duel.
The confrontation lasted for about 10 minutes before the store manager intervened and splashed hot water, causing burns, court documents allege.
The two were eventually able to unlock the door and flee the restaurant, with an employee following them outside to laugh and taunt the family.
“As this family was leaving the parking lot, a Taco Bell employee came outside the front door, laughing, clapping and taunting the family,” the lawsuit reads. ‘The burns on her face will cause discolouration and scarring that will forever affect her self-image.’
Their attorney added that one of the employees had a gun under his shirt, while another countered that they had been assaulted by one of the victims.

One victim suffered 10 convulsions following horrific burn injuries
KWTX reported that Davis subsequently suffered a seizure on the way to the hospital, and in total had ten seizures as a result of the incident causing “significant” brain injury. She was then airlifted to a burn unit by helicopter.
A Taco Bell representative said it is in contact with the franchise owner and “values the safety and well-being of team members and customers”.
The lawsuit names two employees, Yum! Brands – Taco Bell’s parent company and the franchise location they visited.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday, however, the Dallas Police Department has since referred the case to a grand jury, according to KWTX.
