Dillian Whyte did NOT attend today’s kick-off press conference in London

Via Charles Brun: WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte is reportedly not attending today’s kick-off press conference in London, England to promote the April 23 title hit against the champion. WBC heavyweight competitor Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury at Wembley Stadium in London.

With Whyte choosing not to attend today’s press conference, Fury will be speaking about his fight, and he’s likely to do his job as well as ever.

Interestingly, no reason has been given as to why WBC mandatory challenger Dillian (28-2, 19 KOs) will not be attending today’s press conference promoting his fight against Fury .

Whyte is said to be staying at his training camp in Portugal to prepare for his April 23 fight with Fury 6’9″. For Dillian to have any chance of winning, he has to get there. the best possible state, and even then, it will take a miracle for him to win.

Fury to boost combat today

Dillian has shown no kind of talent in his career that suggests he can beat a talent like Fury or even compete for that matter.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for 34-year-old Whyte to fight for a world title, and he will spoil it by not attending today’s press conference. In the end, Whyte will lose because he won’t stand a chance to win against new boxing fans.

Some boxing fans believe that Whyte is not happy with the payoff for the competition, so he will not be involved in promoting the fight. It probably won’t matter as fans who know Whyte, will be energized to watch the match live on April 23 regardless.

A week ago, Whyte signed Fury on time. If Whyte does not sign, he will lose the competition, and Team Fury will face a reserve opponent for April 23.

Dillian will be out for thirteen months from his win over 41-year-old Alexander Povetkin in a rematch last March at Gibraltar.

Povetkin knocked out Whyte in their previous match in August 2020, stopping him in the fifth round. Later that year, Povetkin had a bad case of COVID-19 and was struggling with it.

When Povetkin returned to the ring for a rematch with Whyte in March 2021, physically he looked nothing like what he had been in their first game in 2020, and he was easily beaten by Dillian stop.

Whyte a dangerous fight for Tyson

“I am going to turn off social media completely for the next eight days Fury said. “Going into training camp to give Dillian Whyte all the respect in the world he needs.”

“If someone does the job right as they should, he’s going to be in every press conference,” Tony Bellew told. iFL TV on Dillian Whyte. “He will appear in every media to promote the war.

“That is if the correct contract has been offered, so expect to see Dillian Whyte. I remember signing up for the big fights, the real big fights, and believe me, I was told when I could sit down, when I was allowed to talk.

“I didn’t do a thing they told me, but he tried and dictated when I was going to speak, when I sat down and where I was.

“It was an excellent fight. Dillian Whyte is a problem for anyone. He’s a problem because he’s big, he’s brave, and he’s strong. The lesser boxers had the much more dangerous Tyson Fury.

“Less fighters than Dillian Whyte. Let’s be completely honest here. We already have a cruiser class [Steve Cunningham] put him on his back. So would it be a shock to see Dillian Whyte put Tyson Fury on his back?

“It would have been a shock to keep him,” Bellew said, “but no one in the world has an easy night with Dillian Whyte, purely because of the characteristics I’ve just laid out for you.

“His size, his strength, his bravery and his durability,” Tony said of what makes Whyte a threat to Fury. “I once witnessed him knock out a shot that could knock a horse unconscious.

“The top left hook that Povetkin brought down to his jaw, it was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of punch. It’s a fairy tale punch. You’ve never seen Povetkin do that to anyone else before or after and just erase them.

“It was a punch where you fell twice, you go out and you close your eyes and some magic happens. It’s like Harry Potter..

“It was and I understand why he didn’t do it,” Bellew said on Whyte choosing to withdraw from his October start fight against Otto Wallin.

“I think he completely destroyed Otto Wallin and based on Otto Wallin’s last performance [win over journeyman Kamil Sokolowski on February 5th]I am absolutely right.

“I understand why Johnny Fischer would want to join [as the replacement opponent for Wallin to fight after Whyte pulled out of their October fight].

“Just because Wallin did better than expected against Tyson Fury doesn’t mean they’re suddenly great. So don’t read too much into Otto Wallin. Yes, I have enjoyed watching Dillian stay busy and active,” said Bellew.

Dillian has a lot of rings

“In the grand scheme of things, he [Whyte] probably the most active of the top heavyweights in the last few years.

“Inactivity only matters when it’s been more than two years or eighteen months. That’s when it started to have problems, but Dillian was constantly in the camp, constantly in Portugal, and now he’s always training.

“[As far as] Wear and tear, Tyson Fury had some really tough fights earlier in his career like the first fight with John McDermott, and you have the ups and downs with Steve Cunningham.

“Tyson Fury wears out his body more and more with his lifestyle. . Bubbles up and down [in weight]. Dillian Whyte had to climb off the floor many times and he had to go through many tough battles.

“In the ring, I’d say Dillian Whyte took more punishment, but outside of boxing, which I think is the most important element in boxing, Tyson has done a ton of damage. That’s not easy to get back,” Bellew said.
