Dillian Whyte challenges Jermaine Franklin to a street fight

Via Charles Brun: Dillian Whyte lost his temper against hand-picked opponent Jermaine Franklin on his ‘Face off’ show on Matchroom Boxing.
Eddie Hearn sent Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) to the boil when he told little-known American opponent Franklin (21-0, 14 KOs) that he would make millions in his next game against him. Anthony Joshua if he beats Dillian this Saturday in their main event battle on DAZN at Wembley Arena in London.
That move by Hearn to push Franklin for a life-changing money-making opportunity while fighting Joshua upset Whyte because he assumed he would be the one to make the big bank fight the next AJ.
The reality is Whyte doesn’t deserve a fight with Joshua, as he’s lost two of his last four by knockout and is now fighting on an equal footing with journey runner Derek Chisora. Whyte made me Chisora 2.0, and he was horrible. If Joshua’s career hadn’t hit such a tough spot, Whyte wouldn’t have needed the confidence boost.
Whatever boxer Whyte used to be, he’s not that guy anymore at 34. Apparently he was shot to pieces, which is why he was pitted against #12 WBO Franklin and not must be a heavyweight boxer in the top 10.
If Hearn was serious about wanting to be in a legal match, he would have picked top ten contenders like Joe Joyce, Frank Sanchez, Deontay Wilder, Andy Ruiz Jr or Filip Hrgovic.
Those guys will be quick to deal with Whyte, which will ruin Hearn’s use of him to sell out his Joshua bout to UK fans. Even 43-year-old Luis Ortiz has the ability to beat Whyte at this low stage of his career.
Dillian Whyte told Boxing match about Eddie Hearn letting Jermaine Franklin know he could make millions against Anthony Joshua if he beat Dillian Whyte on Saturday.
“It’s true,” Hearn said of Franklin making millions against Joshua if he beat Whyte.
“Talk to us more about millions of people,” says Whyte.
“If this guy beat you, you know, you were there,” Hearn said.
“I got it on my own, Eddie. I know the game,” Whyte said. “I get it. I understand the game.
“What kind of fighting do you think you will get from this guy? Do you think he will put it down? Do you think he will be locked in there? Hearn told Whyte. “Do you think he can take the punishment?”
“He has a big body and a big head. So he has some big old fears in his head that might ease the blows a bit, so let’s see,” Whyte said of Franklin.
Hearn told Franklin, “Finally, you can look this man in the eye and tell him what’s going to happen on the 26th.
“I’ll win on November 26th by knockout or by points,” Franklin said.
“Okay, I assure you you don’t see twelve rings,” Whyte told Jermaine.
“Okay, you have to prove it,” Franklin said.
“That’s what we’re going to do on November 26,” Whyte said.
“You can talk about knocking me down as much as you like, but you have to prove it,” Franklin said.
“You’re not going to watch 12 rounds,” Whyte said.
“Sure, this is a must-win,” Hearn told Dillian.
“That’s been my whole career. Is there a time when I don’t have a battle to win?” Whyte said. “That’s been my whole career, so what’s new? Like I said, I could have gone to America and got into a fight with some Mexican taxi driver in Botswana or wherever.
“I said, ‘Listen, I want the biggest and best fight.’ The big boys are all tied up, and apparently, this guy is undefeated and ranked, says a lot. He calls himself ‘The Hooded Warrior, 898’, whatever that means.
“He looks like a tough guy. He has fears, beards, and other things. He has a tracksuit. So yeah, he’s the best,” Whyte said.
“So look this man in the eye and tell him what happened on November 26,” Hearn to Whyte said.
“He will be knocked down. I’ll knock him out,” Whyte said. “His head will be smashed. What is he here for? We chose him to be beaten. He is dangerous; he’s an undefeated heavyweight, which is one of the hardest things to do. To beat an undefeated heavyweight.
“I’ve done it before. It’s nothing new to me. I’ve fought the knockouts, I’ve fought the nimbles, I’ve fought the gritty, and most of my fights have been won,” Whyte said.
“Did you beat this guy on November 26th?” told Franklin.
“Yes,” Franklin said.
“Do you believe you beat him by knockout?” told Franklin.
Franklin said: “How I beat him.
“You said you were going to beat me by knockout. Why did you change your words? Whyte told Jermaine. “Why do you keep changing your words, man? You said you would knock me down. Stop changing your words.
“Whether it’s by points or by knockout,” Franklin said.
“You said you would knock me down. Why did you change what you said? Dillian said. “These guys say a lot of things, and when they get in the ring with me, now he thinks, ‘Now is the moment of crisis.’
“His *** hole is getting nervous, thinking, ‘Okay.’ Let’s fight, man,” Whyte said.
Franklin said: “He thought I was being threatened.
“I’ll take you out, and I’ll show you what a threat is,” Whyte said.
“That doesn’t scare me,” Franklin said.
“However, I guarantee it,” Whyte said.
“You stood outside, thinking that I would be afraid of you?” Franklin said.
“I will work for you outside. I will work,” Whyte said. “Don’t talk nonsense, buddy. Don’t lie, man. I will start working. Don’t talk nonsense, man.
“We’ll do the same work here,” Franklin said. “I’m not worried about any of that.”
“Relax, man,” Whyte said.
“Let’s stay that way,” Franklin said.
“People know about me,” Whyte said. “I have never even heard of you. I put the work in. That is normal. I have worked for many years.
“Okay, start work on the 26th,” Franklin said.
“Great,” Whyte said.
Hearn said: “Well, November 26 at Wembley Arena, a big match for the heavyweight division. “Dillian Whyte, former heavyweight boxer challenged Jermaine Franklin. 21-0, the Americans undefeated.
“An opportunity for him to present himself at the elite level of strong contenders. Dillian Whyte must win to once again earn himself a spot against the big men in the heavyweight division.
“No matter where you are in the world, don’t miss the action, live & exclusive on DAZN,” says Hearn.
