Digital dash and Super Cruise coming to compact crossover
A prototype for the updated version of Cadillac’s XT4 was discovered again.
The compact crossover first hit the market as a 2019 model, and this updated version will be introduced for the 2024 model year, which means a possible launch in early 2023.

The XT4 is long overdue for updates, and fortunately, it looks like Cadillac has some major changes planned.
We can see that there is a new design for the headlights, as well as revised designs for the grille and front fascia. The changes at the back look more subtle.

The front also shows evidence of additional sensors being added, which suggests that Cadillac has made the Super Cruise highway driver assistance system available on the updated XT4. By the time the updated XT4 launches, parent company General Motors is expected to have More advanced Ultra Cruise system ready, though it’s unclear if that system will be offered on the XT4. Ultra Cruise is claimed to be capable of handling 95% of the country’s roads, which means many cruises won’t require any actual human driving, although monitoring is still required. at the time.
The tech on the updated XT4 won’t end there. Interior shots show a wide curved screen that replaces the instrument cluster and separate infotainment center on the current model. This design is already present in Cadillac’s Escalade and Lyriq.

It’s unclear what Cadillac has planned in the powertrain division, but with the brand in the process transition to a fully electric product line, don’t expect it to invest in new internal combustion options. That means the current 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine is likely to remain unchanged. The engine makes 237 horsepower, with drive being routed to the front wheels or all four via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The XT4 is currently priced from a little under $40,000, and we don’t expect this to change dramatically for the updated model.
