Diddy Don’t Do Jingles, Or He? – Hollywood life

Diddy does a lot of things, but one thing he doesn’t do is compose music for advertisement. At least, that’s where he was at the start of Uber One’s ad for LVII Super Cup. “You want me to make a jingle?” asked Diddy in the full trailer, released on February 7. The executives reassured him that they wanted “a hit for Uber One,” Diddy said, “that sounded like a jingle. so for me.”
His right-hand man (who, oddly enough, stands to Diddy’s left) says: “Diddy doesn’t play jingle music.) However, the moderators say they want a “hit song,” made Diddy’s wheels spin. Cut into Montell Jordan, repurposed his 1995 single, “This Is How We Do It,” into an Uber One-themed track. “What else do we have?” Diddy asked. Donna Lewis came to turn 1996’s “I Love You Always Forever” into a song about saving when you sign up for an Uber One membership.
“Okay, Donna!” Diddy said with a smile on his face. Kelis come and say that when your milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, it will save you even more. Ylvis, The team behind 2013’s “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)” try their hand at it, but Diddy doesn’t feel it. “Don’t do that.” As the Norwegian duo argued back, Diddy’s lieutenant shouted, “DIDDY SAY NEXT” in Norwegian. That reminds Haddaway, the golden vocalist behind the Eurodance hit “What Is Love?” to come and save the day. Diddy then presented the song to the moderators, with his agent saying, “Diddy is so excited.”

It’s hard to know which one will get more attention from this ad: the Haddaway-themed hit (“UBER ONE! UBER ONE SAVE ME! SAVE ME! MORE!” or the line “Diddy Don’t Do Jingles!” However, it’s not hard to see why fans should be excited about this. Like access to special perks and benefits, this includes an unlimited $0 Shipping Fee, up to discounts. 10% off eligible Uber Eats orders, 5% off eligible Uber rides, access to top rated drivers, and $5 credit on latest Uber Destination estimates on your order is off.

Fans first sensed something big was coming with the teaser of the ad. “So we’re thinking that a song can really put Uber One on the map,” an executive said during a meeting with Diddy at Combs Global’s headquarters. After a moment of silence, a Combs rep responded on his behalf: “Diddy don’t jingle.”
“Of course not – it’s not jingle,” said the first executive, while the second said it was willing to pay Combs for “a song for Uber One,” a status. Uber membership offers upgrades like top-rated drivers on rides, premium support, $0 delivery fees on qualifying orders, and deals, promotions, and specials Permissions are for members only. Combs was unaffected by moderators, with his agent repeating over and over that “Diddy doesn’t jingle.” Moderators tried to save the meeting, saying they were looking for “a push” to spread the word about the membership. This piqued Combs’ curiosity.
“Damned do take the shots,” his agent said as Combs flashed a grin. “Diddy is so excited,” the cold-faced agent said, while Combs was already on the phone and making moves. “Meet me at the studio,” he said. The trailer ends with the promise that Super Bowl audiences will watch Diddy “DO NOT make a jingle” on February 12.
Advertisement, directed by Andreas Nilsson and developed by Special Group, will likely be the most lasting impression of Super Bowl 2023 commercial fortunes, with a simple but memorable “Diddy Don’t Do” chorus. It brings back memories of Nike Bo Jackson “Bo Know” with its effortless simplicity and pervasiveness.

Turns out, it was by design. “For this year’s Super Bowl commercial, we set out to help people get Uber One in mind—and what better way to do that than with a hit song?” Danielle HawleyUber’s global executive creative director, said in a statement, each advertising age. “We’ve combined some of the biggest hit makers of all time with one of the most critically acclaimed producers in the game to help Uber One catch up.”
Hawley’s use of “hit makers” suggests that a number of other big names will join Diddy for the spot. This will follow Uber’s 2022 entry in the Super Bowl commercial, the “Uber Don’t Eats” ad featuring Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah, And Gwyneth Paltrow. Campaign highlights how Uber Eats now offers non-edible items so you don’t end up chewing on Gwyneth’s “My Vagina” candle like she did in the position last year.
