Gervonta Davis has spoken out after his injury-time win over Hector Luis Garcia this weekend, and admitted he has surprised himself with the damage he has inflicted on the Dominicans.
Garcia was quoted as saying he had no idea where he was after a nasty attack from Davis in the eighth round before he retreated in the corner.
Tank’ revealed for seconds run out that he was not aware of the impact his shots had on his opponent at the time.
“I knew it hurt him, but I didn’t know it was like that – not knowing where you are is crazy! I didn’t know I hit him so hard.”
“I’d rather beat someone twelve rounds than get knocked out, but people like knockouts.”
The win lifted Davis’ record to an impressive 28-0, with 26 of those wins by margin.
The Baltimore boxer took to social media in response to a post-match interview with Garcia in which ‘El Androide’ was clearly taken aback by Davis’ strength.

All roads now lead to a long-awaited big fight between Davis and Ryan Garciawith the terms allegedly agreed for the April 15 meeting with an attractive weight of 136 lbs.
The match, one of the biggest made in the sport, took place over the course of two years and the pair have been back and forth on social media several times.
