Diablo 4 – Wizard Enchantment Guide

The Sorcerer’s magic in Diablo 4 take advantage of different factors. Furthermore, this class has a unique mechanism where capabilities can provide passive procs. Here’s our Diablo 4 Wizard Enchantment guide to help you unlock these powerful passive bonuses.

Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment unlocking mechanism

Diablo 4 Witch Wizard slots are unlocked at levels 15 and 30. Currently, we are uncertain about the requirement for the level 30 slot as the beta is limited to characters up to level 25.

However, the first place at level 15 has a class-specific quest called Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi. Make sure you’re tracking it so it’s marked on your map. Here is the gist:

• You’ll have to head back to the southwest side of Nevesk. That’s basically where you start your campaign.
• There you will meet a Mage named Mordarin who asks you to get the Forgotten Codex back. Items can be found in nearby dungeons.
• The dungeon itself has its own rewards, although the Forgotten Codex can be obtained from marked chests. Complete the dungeon if you want, but you need to bring the book back to Mordarin.
• You will then enter a hut where you have to interact with four braziers. Mordarin will try to mine the elements, but instead, he accidentally summons demons.
• After defeating the demons, you will unlock the Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment slot for your level 15 character.

After you have the Diablo 4 Wizarding Spell tile, you can choose any active spell (i.e. non-passive and non-Ultimate) that has at least one rank. This can come from the allocation of skill points or better yet any item that adds to the rank. For example, if you have a random +1 for Teleporting amulet, it means that the Teleport is unlocked even though you didn’t use a single skill point.

In any case, go to the Abilities panel and click on Skill Assignment. The bottom section is where you can select a spell that will trigger an additional effect. These Diablo 4 Witch Wizard slots offer great benefits that are quite different from their usual effects like active skills. Most will even activate regardless of the ability you use to defeat an enemy or trigger an effect.

• Basic skills:
  • Sparkling – +12% chance to form Crackling Energy when you kill an enemy.
  • Fire Bolt – Adds 48 burn damage for 8 seconds after dealing direct damage.
  • Frost Bolt – +15% cold effect from direct damage.
  • Arc Lash – Stuns enemies for 0.5 seconds after you use the cooldown (i.e. dash).
• Core skills
  • Fireball – Enemies you kill explode into a Fireball dealing 50% damage.
  • Ice Shard – Automatically summons and flies towards frozen enemies.
  • Chain Lightning – Automatically forms whenever you spend 100 mana.
  • Charged Bolt – 40% chance to release Charged Bolt when you stun an enemy.
  • Ignite – A snake will Incinerate an enemy every 20 seconds.
  • Frozen Orb – Any non-basic skill you use has a 20% chance to launch a Frozen Orb.
• Defense skill
  • Fire Shield – Automatically activates whenever you take critical damage; can only happen once every 120 seconds.
  • Frost Nova – +30% chance to release Frost Nova when using Conjuration skill.
  • Frost Armor – +5% chance to apply Ice Armor whenever you are attacked.
  • Teleport – Your dodge is replaced by a short-range Teleport with a cooldown of 17 seconds.
• Combination skill
  • Ice Blade – Every 20 seconds on cooldown casts an Ice Blade on a random enemy.
  • Hydra – A first five Hydra spawns every time to consume 300 mana.
  • Lightning Spear – +10% chance to spawn Lightning Spear whenever you pick up Crackling Energy.
• mastery skills
  • Firewall – +5% chance to create two Firewalls below enemies whenever they take scorch damage.
  • Snowstorm – A blizzard will form around you every 15 seconds.
  • Meteor – Lucky Hit; +3% chance of a Meteor hitting an enemy.
  • Ball Lightning – Lucky Hit; +25% chance to spawn Ball Lightning whenever you hit a critical hit.

With only one Diablo 4 Sorcerer Enchantment slot available at level 15, we recommend equipping the Fireball. Every kill you make will cause the enemy to explode, which can lead to a chain reaction of explosions due to guaranteed processes.
