Developers are sharing their game developer “sin”, and some of them are delighted
If Twitter dies, I’ll miss it. Amidst the lies wailing certain gems, like this topic of developers sharing confessions and cheeky tricks throughout their careers. We’re talking about piecing together rat tunnels to form a makeshift flare launcher in dishonestor use the bottom of a bleach bottle as a holder for a stationary lamp. I’ve picked out some of my favorites – come and enjoy them with me.
First of all, here’s that bottle: a galactic play by VFX Artist Valheim Andi Jorgensen.

In the same vein, this is Dishonor campaign director Dana Nightingale’s flare launcher. Perfect job.
I like Antoine Henry short story worked on the rush schedule of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, where the need for additional minigames led to the creation of a game that only required the player to “Focus To Score” and then shuffle. (Confident players reporting their winning strategies reminds me of that interesting study about superstitious pigeons).
Shaun Finney has contributed another ingenious way of circumventing time constraints, which is unfortunately unusable in this day and age.
Wallace & Gromit is an early XBLA game and is required to launch from a memory card. There was a crash when launching the 256mb card, but not the 512mb card. So we just added a 20mb audio file to the game, making it too big for a 256mb card. Pass the certificate no problem after that! https://t.co/qftHxiPu75

There’s more to enjoy, from deliberately unable to finish the game to a texture containing someone Full credit card information.
A lot of police developers for sneaking loss meme into their games, neat but not half as good as bleach bottle lights. However, thanks to Danny Sweeney for starting the fun. research topic for yourself, if you like.
