Detailed Roadmap of Hitman 3 Year 2, Hitman Trilogy Coming to Xbox Game Pass with PC VR release

IO Interactive has revealed its Year 2 plans for Hitman 3, along with the news that the entire Hitman World of Assassination Trilogy will arrive on Xbox Game Pass. The studio also revealed that Hitman VR support, which works for all three Hitman games, is coming to PC.

Hitman 3’s Year 2 kicks off this month with the Elusive Target Arcade, which goes live on January 20. It’s a new game mode that takes the Elusive Target concept featured in this trilogy to the “next level” as it “combines the formula while introducing new challenges and unlockable rewards, all of which retain the essence of what makes Elusive Targets so fun and exciting to play. ”

“Each Game Contract now entitles you to take down Elusive Targets in a row, contract after contract,” IO’s blog post read. “Each has to be completed in order to continue – and there are additional complications added to the contract as well. If you fail to execute an Arcade Contract at any point, there will be a 12-hour lockout before you can retry the contract from scratch. This locking allows us to maintain the high-stakes gameplay that is the hallmark of Elusive Goals, while also giving players a clear indication of when they can replay specific Elusive Goals body”.

All Arcade Contracts added to Hitman 3 are also permanent additions. When this new mode launches on January 20, it will start with three contracts, each with an Elusive Objective from one of the three Hitman World of Assassination games. More and more contracts will be added throughout the year.

The next big exciting announcement for Year 2 of Hitman 3 is Hitman VR, which lets you play the entire trilogy in VR, which will launch on PC on January 20th. Here’s a clip of how the game looks and feels. Play Hitman 3 Senior Game. Designer Sekil Møhl.

On the PC front, Hitman 3 Year 2 brings some exciting new tech improvements to the game.

“One of the most notable improvements to the game will be the option to enable ray tracing on PC later this year,” says the IO blog post. “With better reflexes and better shadows, our positions will look better than ever. In addition to ray tracing, our ongoing partnership with Intel means we will also be one of the first development studios in the world to implement Intel’s XeSS technology, which uses machine learning to delivers higher performance with superior image quality. ”

Finally, Variable Rate Shading will be added to the PC version of Hitman 3 this year. This inclusion enhances PC performance by “casting shadows at different frequencies in different parts of the image, generating more power where it has the most impact.”

Also announced today, the entire Hitman World of Assassination Trilogy, which includes IO’s Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3, will launch on Xbox Game Pass on January 20th. Speaking of trilogy, IO is closed. bundles the entire series into a new collection called the Hitman Trilogy that will be available digitally on January 20th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store and Steam. Hitman Trilogy is how players will play all three Hitman games on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

That’s not all, guys. IO also announced Hitman Freelancer, a new single-player mode coming this spring.

“Freelancer is a brand new single player mode coming to Hitman 3 that introduces lifelike elements, strategic planning, and a customizable safe house,” IO blog post said.

This new safehouse is aptly named Agent 47’s Safe House. It’s unlike anything seen before in a Hitman game, IO said. It’s fully customizable, allowing you to choose exactly what kind of assassin you want to be. Additionally, as you progress through Freelancer mode, more areas of the safe house will be unlocked, giving you additional customization options.

You can view new suits in the safe, try out guns on the shooting range, change the decor, and more. You can also visit the Mission Center here, where you can view all of the Freelancer campaigns currently available, with each campaign representing a different criminal enterprise from World of Assassination.

IO writes: “For each campaign, you need to choose the order in which you want to execute the tasks. “After each mission, you’ll return to the safehouse to replenish, resupply, and strategically plan your next move. Any position you leave until the end will be where you will corner the Leader of the business. Blow their cover, remove them and the campaign is done. You get paid and get back to your safe home”.

IO says campaigns have also been completely reworked for the new Freelancer mode. The locations will have new types of NPCs, which can help or hinder your quest. For example, vendors will offer a selection of weapons and items that you can pick up to help with your quest, while other NPCs can alert the Leader of your presence after detect. Other new elements in these campaigns include additional safes, hidden storage, and other NPC assassins.

However, your gear in Freelancer isn’t persistent, so don’t get too attached to anything you pick up. Anything you didn’t manually bring back home safely will be lost. Consumables will also need to be replenished before each campaign, as ICA is no longer available to help you in Freelancer.

“We’re excited about Freelancer giving players a seamless and endlessly replayable experience that’s all their own; from customizing a safehouse to fit their style or mood, configuring and strategically planning campaigns to choosing a style of play with all their gear at the ready . ”

The final big announcement for Hitman 3 Year 2 was the reveal of Codename: Rocky, a new map. However, aside from the screenshot you can see below, that’s all IO has to say about it. IO says more details about this new map will be shared at the end of year 2.
