Destiny 2 Unexpectedly Tweaks Invisible Hunter In PvP Unexpectedly
Destiny 2 PvP activities like Crucible continue to be one of its most popular modes, but everyone knows that getting killed by an invisible Void Hunter is rarely fun. As such, Bungie plans to add an interesting twist to this ability to give players a fighting chance against it.
Destiny 2’s 6.3.0.1 update, scheduled for the week of December 13, will reduce the Void Hunters’ radar range when using their stealth powers. This means that hunters who are currently invisible will only be able to use their mid- and short-range radar capabilities, rather than long-range “gutters” that extend from the 24 meter to 64 meter mark.
Functionally, this means stealth players will be less likely to spot their opponents in range, especially opponents that are actively running away from them. in one blog post Announcing the change, Bungie noted that the change would have a “significant impact” on how invisible players approach commits. The company also says it has minimal impact on PvE operations, which makes sense.
Other changes announced in this blog post include new devices for The Trial of Osiris and the Iron Bannerbalance changes to weapons like the Linear Fusion Rifle and a probe to see which hypothetical Arbalest ornament will appear in the final game. Fate 2 Part 19 start tomorrow.
