Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Trailer reveals new exotic weapons including class-specific glory

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s news that Sony is acquiring Bungie, the studio released the new Destiny 2: The Witch Queen intro video that’s all about the gear and weapons that come with the new expansion.

With The Witch Queen, Destiny 2’s newest expansion coming out on February 22, it’s no surprise that Bungie is ramping up its marketing. After the trailer a few weeks ago, it’s all about Savathun’s Throne World, today, the studio has chosen to reveal some of the weapons our Guardians will use later this month.

As you can see in the trailer above, there are some weird weapons coming to the game, starting with Grand Overture, an automatic rocket fully charged Slug Launcher. There is also a new one Parasites weapon, which is a worm launcher with increasing damage, and Osteo Striga, fires swarms of bullets that trigger toxic explosions on the battlefield.

However, guns aren’t the only new weapon in The Witch Queen. The Glaives step into the fray and beyond that each class – Titan, Warlock, and Hunter – has their own fun with class-specific abilities.

Titan Glaive is called Edge of Action and it is not only a melee weapon but also can shoot and place a protective shield in an area. Warlock Glaive is called Edge of Intent and it shoots out healing towers, and Hunter Glaive is The edge of agreement, shoot out lightning chain tracking along the ground.

One important thing to note is that glaives will be available to all players. However, the new exotic guns require you to own a Season Pass.

In terms of equipment, yes Hoarfrost-Z Boobs fragment, replacing obstacles with a wall of blockages, Osmiomancy Gloves, which provides additional Coldsnap applications with advanced search and Blight Ranger helmet, increases the damage of reflected bullets.

It’s a cool trailer, and we can’t wait to try these new weapons and gear in The Witch Queen as it launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and Xbox One.
