Deontay Wilder gets intimate with his own statue

Deontay Wilder is practicing strong self-love, talking and hugging a statue of himself recently unveiled in his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The former champion had to leave the ring after his second straight loss to Tyson Fury, but came back strong in October with a second straight loss to Tyson Fury. a first round stop by Robert Helenius.

Wilder credits the statue – and it’s symbol of the motivation he gives others – as the motivating factor that convinced him to stay away from retirement and fight on.

He now continues his special relationship with the artwork by visiting it in 2023. The heavyweight knockout artist shared a clip of the encounter on social media.

“You can love good things about yourself, most of the time self-motivation is a must, and sometimes that’s all we need to survive.”
