Dense fog reminds aqueduct cancellation

New York Racing Association (NYRA) officials were forced to cancel the final four races on Saturday’s New Year’s Eve show, due to thick fog covering the greater New York metropolitan area early in the morning. o’clock in the afternoon causing dangerously limited visibility.
According to the New York Game Commission rules, the Pick 6 pool, which has a rollover of $22,611, will be refunded. Bets and forwards will return to Sunday’s card, starting with the fourth race, with a required payout.
Queens County S.’s outstanding $150,000 on Saturday will be returned as part of the program next Saturday, January 7.
The Aqueduct remains open to simulations from all over the country. Sunday’s New Year’s Day card is highlighted by a $150,000 Ladies S. marked as the third race. The first post is 12:20 p.m. ET.
