Denon’s Home Subwoofer lets you create a wireless 5.1 surround sound system
High-end HiFi maker Denon unveiled its wireless device Denon Home Subwoofer help enhance loud bass for its wireless Home speaker product line. When paired with those devices, you can get a truly wireless 5.1 surround sound experience for your home theater system.
The Home Subwoofer features a large 8-inch woofer that is “cleverly fitted into a sleek, compact cabinet” that matches the design of the Home. wireless speaker and 550 . home sound system, the company said. The goal is to bring more bass to surround-encoded music or movies.
It uses Denon’s HEOS system, so you can easily pair it wirelessly with the Denon Home Sound Bar and/or Denon Home wireless speakers. The HEOS smartphone app lets you adjust settings for output levels, low-pass filters, and phase, to optimize the acoustics for your room acoustics.
As with other Denon Home products, you get access to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music HD, and more, plus audio files over WiFi, AirPlay 2, or Bluetooth. It seems like a solid audio enthusiast option, as long as the price doesn’t give you pause—that’s it. now available for $599.
