Demetrius Andrade scolds Canelo for avoiding “real dogs”

Via Sean Jones: Demetrius Andrade berated Canelo Alvarez on Monday, letting the media know that the Mexican star is avoiding “real dog” can chew him and spit him out.

Give Canelo support targets Andrade’s decision to distract Zach Parker and Janibek Alimkhanuly, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that Alvarez is said to have distracted these live dogs:

  • Dmitry Bivol – *rematch
  • David Benavidez
  • David Morrel
  • Jermall Charlo
  • Artur Betterbiev

For boxing fans who don’t follow the sport closely, Dmitry Bivol is a cherry-pick goes wrong for Canelo. When Canelo picked Bivol, he was just coming back from a bad performance against Craig Richards, a match he nearly lost and looked awful throughout.

It doesn’t matter that Andrade doesn’t fight Janibek or Zach Parker when given the chance. Crucially Andrade is telling some truth by telling fans that Canelo has been picking cherries for years, facing bad opposition since Gennadiy Golovkin hit him in 2018.

Canelo’s easy teamfights:

  • Billy Joe Saunders
  • Avni Yildirim
  • cabbage plant
  • Serge Kovalev
  • Daniel Jacobs
  • Rocky Fielding
  • Callum Smith

Undefeated former two-time world champion Andrade told the media he gave up trying to play 32-year-old Canelo because he didn’t want to take on the real challenge.

“Of course, Canelo, but you see where that goes. He’s not trying to get in there with real dogs or someone who knows how to really fight, can punch and is smart too,” Demetrius Andrade told media on Monday, let them know that Canelo Alvarez had avoided dangerous lion cubs that could tear him to pieces.

Demetrius points out that Canelo doesn’t want to get into it with boxers with strength and intelligence in the ring. While Canelo recently faced 40-year-old Gennadiy Golovkin in their triple match, he didn’t face him until four after their previous match in 2018.

The years that passed were not good for Golovkin, as he was just a shadow of the boxer who supposedly defeated Canelo in both their second and first bouts.

Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) is expected to take a light job in John Ryder next May instead of facing his former conqueror Dmitry Bivol or David Benavidez.

Those are the two fights that the world boxing village wants to see from former 4th place world champion Canelo.
