Delhi on Sunday reported 2,162 new COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 12.64%, while five more people died from the disease, according to data shared by the city’s health department.

Delhi on Saturday reported 9 COVID-19 deaths and 2,031 cases with a positivity rate of 12.34%.

On Friday, it saw 10 deaths, the highest in six months, and 2,136 cases with a positivity rate of 15.02%.

The national capital recorded 12 deaths from COVID-19 on February 13.

The health department said in its latest bulletin that the new cases on Sunday were 17,106 COVID-19 tests.

With new infections and deaths, the death toll in Delhi has risen to 19,84,595 and the total number of deaths has risen to 26,381, it said.
