Delhi Congress Chief Anil Chaudhary Claims His Name Missing From Voters’ List

Delhi Parliament Speaker Anil Chaudhary announced that he found his name missing from the list of voters when he went to the polling station to vote for the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections on Sunday.
Chaudhary stated that his name is neither on the list of voters nor on the deleted list.
“My name is not on the voter list nor is the list deleted. My wife voted. Officials are checking it,” said the Delhi National Assembly Speaker, who went to a polling station in Dallupura to cast his vote. , said.
Voting for 250 wards is underway and will end at 5:30 pm.
More than 1.45 million people are eligible to vote in the civic polls, including 1,349 candidates running for office, setting the stage for high-stakes civic polls, mostly considered a trio of competition between the BJP, AAP and Congress.

According to data shared by State Election Commission officials, the total number of voters in Delhi is 145,05,358 — 78,93,418 men, 66,10,879 women and 1,061 transgender. There are 250 wards in the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD).
The Delhi State Election Commission has set up 13,638 polling stations for the election.
This is the first civilian election after the new demarcation exercise. There were 272 wards in Delhi and three consortiums – NDMC, SDMC and EDMC in Delhi from 2012-2022, then merged into MCD which was officially born on 22nd May.
