In this continuing series, we’ll be taking a look at US-bred and/or conceived athletes taking part this upcoming weekend at the Japan Racing Association tracks, focusing on pedigree and/or performance within sales. Here are the horses of interest for this weekend’s run at Hanshin and Nakayama Racecourse. The Sunday Giveaway at Nakayama features the world’s largest annual betting race, the G1 Arima Kinen, in which Chrono Genesis (Jpn) (Bago {Fr}) will close his career with a win. DREAM AGENDA (f, 2, Curlin–Gender Agenda {GB}, by Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) was knocked out of the 8-5 favorites for her september 18 bow on a sloppy and self-rated local run and distance with a runner-up attempt. Acquired AU$200k at Keeneland last September, the bay is the first pony from her dam to win Class III, she is half-sister to the champion’s dam and G1SW Pretty Pollyanna (GB) (Oasis dream {GB}). The third dam includes the User Friendly European Horse of the Year (GB) (Slip Anchor {GB}). Gender Agenda has been sold for $55K on foals for More than ready at KENOV last month. 7-NKY, 13,830,000 ($121 thousand), Allowance, 2yo, 1200m
FREUD SENSE (c, 2, Street Sense–Fenwick Hall, by Freud) completed light work on his debut mission on December 5, easily taking the field of newcomers to the track and this trip by five chalky lengths of 9-10 (see below , SC 7) and the tough figures come right back. Last year’s $110k ARN KEESEP, New York variety, made by a sister staked with MSW Miss Narcissist, raked in $160k at this year’s OBS March sale . B-Final Furlong Racing Stable (NY)

9-HSN, 19,110,000 ($167k), Allowance, 2yo, 1400mT
SEA VIXEN (f, 2, Into Mischief – Sly Warrior, by First Samurai) booked twice from three grass starts to start his career, but most recently turned to the ground and galloped for a seven-time graduation in Tokyo on November 28 (see below, SC 2). That success, though, the avid $130K KEESEP put the $500K OBSMAR fridge back on the field this weekend. In addition to the ability she has demonstrated, she has some pedigree about it, as she is a half-sister to SP Pull Dancer (Alywow) who has a son. The Good Samaritan (Harlan’s Holiday) was a two-time winner rated for dirt, but also beat GII Summer S. on grass. B-Breeze Easy LLC (KY)

4th HSN, 13,400,000 ($117k), Newcomer, 2yo, 1800m
GONE QUESTION (c, 2, Quality Sugar–Gone Callin, by Proud Citizen) is the half-sister of the Caledonian Road champion (Quality Sugar), bought by Nathan McCauley for $55k at KEEJAN in 2018. Classed as a pony for the Lane’s End star, Gone Callin re-emerged at KEENOV that fall, for $280k. . The first pony, Gone Quest was RNA’d for $225K at KEESEP last fall and again for $145K at FTKOCT. Caledonian Road, home to Officating half-brothers (Blame) recently took down GIII Mr. Evenly earned $1.22 million at this year’s JRHA Select Sale. B-Chiyoda Farm (KY)
