Dead space has never looked better in the 2023 remake, and if you hit the credits and find yourself wanting to see more of it, you can start over with New Game Plus, which comes with some bonuses and Exclusive unlock. Ending the story on New Game Plus will even give you the associated Achievements/Troops and you can also unlock a secret ending to your troubles. Here’s what you need to know about this mode.
When you finish the last part of Dead Space remake chapters, you will have a chance to play the game again in New Game Plus mode. This mode not only allows you to bring in all of your previously earned guns, upgrades, suits, and credits, but it also presents you with a bunch of other prizes to entice you to make it to USG Ishimura again. . You can get your previous unlocks at any store kiosk in the game. Be aware, though, that dynamics and stagnation are unlocked as part of the story, so they’ll need to be re-earned at similar points even in New Game Plus.
Here’s what you unlock before starting New Game Plus mode:
- 50,000 credits
- 10 power buttons
- New text diary
- Advanced Soldier RIG (Level 6 Suit)
Since there are so many guns to upgrade you can’t really upgrade them all in a single playthrough, so starting New Game Plus with all previous upgrades unlocked is an incentive. very large, as it allows you to improve other weapons.
Dead Space’s secret ending
You can only find the secret ending in the Dead Space remake by playing in New Game Plus mode and finding 12 Master Fragments. We’re still actively looking for these–they appear to be surrounded by some really cryptic text logs as seen above–although we won’t reveal the secret ending here. this. During your travels, keep an eye out for the new “Ghost Variants” versions of the Necromorphs. *Gulp*
