‘Dead Cells’ Review Update 2023 – Returns to Castlevania DLC, new patches and more – TouchArcade

It was more than a year since I reviewed the last paid DLC for Dead cells. Since then, Dead cells on mobile has received many major free updates and has recently had a super update Back to Castlevania DLC. With Dead cells ($8.99) Back to Castlevania Now available on iOS and Android, I wanted to review the state of the mobile game and compare it to the PC and console versions. One more thing to keep in mind is Dead Cells + on Apple Arcade offers all of the game’s paid DLC for free if you have an active subscription through the Apple Arcade release. This review feature only covers the premium release, but everything also applies to the Apple Arcade version.

On mobile, Dead cells currently lacking Clean cut update, but all previous updates and paid DLC are available. We’re closer than ever in feature parity, and I hope we’ll eventually get cross-platform saving sync at least for mobile and PC. As with my other reviews of cross-platform games, I’ll also compare the mobile release with the console and PC versions I have access to. With Dead cellsI own the game on Xbox, Switch, PC, and iOS so I’ll be discussing how it plays on Nintendo Switch (OLED models), Steam Deck, iPad Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 11, and Xbox Series X.

The Dead cells Back to Castlevania DLC, priced at $6.99 on mobile, brings two new biomes (Dracula Castle and suburbs), 14 new weapons from Castlevania3 new bosses, 20 new outfits, a new story about Alucard and Richter Belmont, secrets etc. This DLC even has a new soundtrack option you can activate, it’s awesome with 51 original tracks from Castlevania and the 12 songs from it were reimagined to match Dead cells. Despite the high asking price (compared to previous DLC), Dead cells: Back to Castlevania DLC get my highest possible recommendation if you like Dead cells. Otherwise, this DLC won’t change anything. I love how the story in this DLC fits perfectly Dead cells.

So far, every DLC pack for Dead cells has deserved some outstanding value. I blindly bought them on Steam for the support Dead cells received is unbelievable. With Dead cells Back to CastlevaniaI am still amazed at the level of care and care that was given to bringing back the world Castlevania in Dead cells. Bosses, new tracks, visuals and all sorts of weapons make this awesome. This is possibly one of my favorite DLC packs ever and a must-have for everyone Dead cells owner.

I didn’t play anything on holiday last week except the new one PowerWash Emulator DLC, but I tested my new one Final Fantasy XVI DualSense controller with Dead cells on my iPad. In my current state, I want to say Dead cells on the Steam Deck is still my favorite way to play, but the iOS version is definitely the next best bet. Even though the Switch version isn’t as messy as it was when it first came out, I still play Dead cells on iOS via Switch. I’m looking forward to hearing how the new original PS5 version feels because I’m not satisfied with the way Dead cells Performance is also available on Xbox.

If you haven’t played yet Dead cells on mobile for over a year, you’ve been missing out on major updates like Boss Rush and Everyone’s 2 Mode Update. These updates added alternate game modes, characters from great indie games, new cosmetics, enhanced bosses, etc. Both of these updates are also free continuing the trend. Dead cells getting better for every owner of the game.

Dead cells Back to Castlevania DLC is a perfect expansion on consoles and PCs when it comes out, and it’s still needed with the mobile release. Dead cells on mobile is a great version of the game and I hope it will eventually sync across multiple platforms. That’s really the only feature I’d like to see added. If you have Apple Arcade, you get Dead cells and all previous DLC including Back to Castlevania expand in Dead Cells + making it one of the best games on the service. If you like Dead cells And Castlevania, why are you even reading the reviews? Just buy the DLC and enjoy one of the best expansions we’ve seen for any game in a while.

Dead cells Back to Castlevania iOS DLC Rating Score: 5/5
