DDG shocked Twitter after showing his ‘Real Voice’
a video of DDG His “real voice” has started going viral and the internet doesn’t know how to act!
DDG turns it on when Podcast appears
The clip in question is from DDG’s appearance on Dope as usual podcast, happening in October.
During the interview, the Dope host as Yola made the speculation he had heard about DDG’s “real voice”.
“We had about 200 people saying, ‘Ask [DDG] about his true voice.’ What does it mean? Is that an inside joke?
In response, DDG confirmed that the speculation was correct, and then he gave his “real voice”.
He continued to use a much deeper voice than he used in public appearances, and the presenter was clearly shocked by the revelation. In turn, the “9 Lives” rapper started using his higher-pitched voice to give an explanation.
“I just say this when I’m trying to compose music and create content and stuff.”
DDG then switches back to a lower tone to express his point.
“But I really say it like this in real life. You can ask anyone. This is how I really talk.
The clip ends with him explaining that the change is part of his personality, as he points out, “You have to create a character.”

DDG shared his deeper voice is due to “Ruptured Vocal Cords”
At this point, we have to point out that DDG has previously explained why he can switch between tones with such ease.
Back in 2017, he uploaded a video and explained that he swallowed a coin when he was very young, causing it to “break.” [his] vocal cords.”
He went on to refute claims that his deeper voice was “edited” and shared that he simply didn’t want to show off his “real voice”.
What do you think about DDG’s “real voice”?
